Descriptive Features: A freely branching, naturally dwarf coneflower bred by Danziger, distinguished by an early-blooming, compact habit with flowers held close to the dark green foliage rather than on tall, leggy stems. Glowing red-orange single flowers with reflexed petals open in late spring and continue through summer into fall, gradually turning a warmer orange as they mature — offering unusually long-lasting "everlasting" flower power. Its diminutive scale makes it especially well suited to edging, small-space borders, containers, and butterfly gardens where full-sized coneflowers would overwhelm the space. Fragrant blooms draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees, and the dried seed heads left standing through fall and winter provide food for goldfinches and other songbirds. Highly adaptable to poor soil, heat, humidity, and drought once established; low-maintenance and deer-resistant. An excellent choice for rock gardens, prairie-style plantings, cottage gardens, or cut and dried flower use in full sun.
