Rudbeckia laciniata, commonly called Cutleaf coneflower, tall coneflower or Green-head coneflower, is a tall, clumping perennial native to most areas of North America. Occurring in moist soils in rich woodlands, thickets, and along streams or other bodies of water. Yellow daisy-like flowers with dome-like, green center discs bloom from mid to late summer. Attracts butterflies.
Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Tolerant of heat and humidity. Taller plants may need support. Suitable for native plant gardens, naturalized areas, borders and meadows.
