Latin Name: Sedum rupestre 'Prima Angelina'

Common Name: Prima Angelina Stonecrop

Zones: 4–9

Height & Spread: 3–6 inches tall, spreading 6–10 inches wide

Descriptive Features: A denser, more compact sport of the popular 'Angelina,' offering the same vivid, brilliant golden-yellow color in a tighter, low-growing mat. Needle-like, fleshy foliage forms a tidy, spreading mound that ignites the landscape with bright chartreuse-yellow color, turning to warm orange tones as nights cool in fall — and often peeking cheerfully through a light dusting of snow in winter. In late June and July, profuse clusters of tiny yellow star-shaped flowers add another layer of color above the foliage. Cascades beautifully over rock walls or spills from containers as a "spiller." Extremely drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and untroubled by deer or rabbits. An excellent choice for rock gardens, edging, small-space beds, or groundcover in full sun.
