Anemone ‘Sweetly’ 1Gal

Latin Name: Anemone Fall in Love® 'Sweetly'

Common Name: Fall in Love Sweetly Japanese Anemone

Zones: 4–8

Height & Spread: 20–26 inches tall, spreading 24–30 inches wide

Descriptive Features: A Proven Winners introduction bred to offer the beloved late-season charm of Japanese anemones in a more restrained package — while classic varieties like 'Honorine Jobert' can spread aggressively by rhizomes, 'Sweetly' is a notably slow spreader, making it far more manageable for smaller gardens. Forms a large, tidy mound of dark green foliage through summer, with upright flowering stems rising in late summer to early fall to display rich, semi-double, rose-pink blooms that dance gracefully in the breeze. Blooms just as many other perennials are fading, providing essential late-season color and a valuable nectar source for butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. Slow to emerge in spring, making it a good companion for concealing dying spring bulb foliage. Deer- and rabbit-resistant, heat-tolerant, and easy to grow in rich, loose, consistently moist, well-drained soil. Excellent for borders, mass plantings, cottage gardens, containers, or cut flower use in full sun to part shade — with afternoon shade recommended in hotter climates.
