Descriptive Features: A dwarf evergreen boxwood spotted at a West Virginia growing nursery for its exceptional form and smaller leaves, introduced through Star® Roses and Plants. Forms a dense, compact, mounding to rounded shrub of small, glossy, dark green leaves that keep their color through summer and winter. Very cold-hardy, sun-tolerant, and notably highly resistant to boxwood blight, which makes it a top choice where blight is a concern. Slow-growing and responsive to shearing, though it also holds its shape naturally with minimal pruning, best done in late winter to early spring. Performs well in New England and other cold regions, drought-tolerant once established. Prefers full sun to part sun in average, moist, well-drained soil. Deer- and rabbit-resistant and low-maintenance. An excellent choice for low hedges, foundation plantings, borders, accents, and containers in full sun to part shade.
