Lavandula ‘Phenomenal’ 1Gal

Latin Name: Lavandula × intermedia ‘Phenomenal’

Common Name: Phenomenal Lavender

Zones: 5-9

Height & Spread: 24-30 inches tall, spreading 30-36 inches wide

Descriptive Features: A vigorous lavandin hybrid bred specifically for exceptional cold hardiness, heat and humidity tolerance, and resistance to common lavender diseases like Phytophthora root rot, making it far more forgiving than many English lavenders in less-than-ideal climates. Forms a large, symmetrical, silvery mound of highly aromatic, needle-like gray-green foliage. From early to midsummer, abundant long, plump spikes of soft lavender-blue flowers rise on tall, sturdy stems well above the foliage, excellent for cutting fresh or dried. Notably deer- and rabbit-resistant and highly drought-tolerant once established. Its larger, more adaptable habit makes it well suited for hedging, borders, mass plantings, or specimen use in full sun with sharp drainage.
