Descriptive Features: An improved selection from Jelitto Perennial Seed — the same breeder behind the classic 'Magnus' — offering slightly shorter stature with deeper, more intensely carmine-red to ruby-pink flowers than most other coneflowers. Large, flat-topped, fragrant daisy blooms hold their petals in a refined, horizontal arrangement rather than drooping, surrounding a prominent bronze-brown center cone. Blooms from midsummer through early fall, sometimes lasting until frost. Large, dark green leaves form a sturdy, upright clump. Excellent as a cut flower, and its seed heads are prized by native bees, butterflies, and small birds like finches, sparrows, and cardinals if left standing through fall and winter.
