Latin Name: Sedum 'Frosted Fire' (Hylotelephium 'Frosted Fire')

Common Name: Frosted Fire Autumn Stonecrop

Zones: 3–9

Height & Spread: 12–15 inches tall, spreading 18 inches wide

Descriptive Features: A variegated sport of 'Autumn Fire,' inheriting the same tight, upright growth habit and thicker foliage as its parent, but with light green leaves edged in bright, creamy-yellow serrated margins — striking even before the flowers appear. In late summer, creamy white buds open into large, tightly packed clusters of vivid rosy-pink flowers held on strong, sturdy stems, deepening to a richer reddish-pink as the season progresses into fall. The dried flower heads persist through winter, offering continued interest and food for birds if left standing. Forms a dense, substantial clump that can stand in for a small shrub in the landscape. Extremely drought- and salt-tolerant, rabbit-resistant, and largely trouble-free from pests and disease. A strong draw for bees and butterflies. Excellent for borders, mass plantings, rock gardens, and cut or dried arrangements in full sun.
