Descriptive Features: An award-winning, erect, clump-forming perennial with striking near-black stems that provide dramatic contrast to its dense, upright spikes of violet-blue flowers. Notched, aromatic gray-green foliage forms a tidy low mound beneath the tall flower spires. Blooms profusely from late spring to early summer, with sporadic rebloom into fall when deadheaded. Highly attractive to bees and butterflies; drought-tolerant and deer-resistant once established. An excellent vertical accent for borders, rock gardens, and Mediterranean-style plantings in full sun.
