Descriptive Features: A compact, late-blooming ornamental onion forming a neat clump of upright, glaucous blue-green foliage with a slight twist and curl for added texture. Near the end of summer into early fall, dusty dark-purple, bubble-shaped flower globes rise on sturdy stems just above the foliage — blooming later and in a deeper purple shade than the popular 'Millenium.' Attractive dried seed heads persist into fall for extended interest. Rich in nectar and a favorite of bees and butterflies, while remaining unappealing to deer and rabbits. Easy-care and non-invasive; a lovely addition to borders, rock gardens, or containers in full sun to part shade.
