Descriptive Features: Named the 2026 Hydrangea of the Year, this reblooming mophead produces intensely saturated, large blooms in royal purple to blue in acidic soils, or a warm, saturated pink in more alkaline soils — with all three shades sometimes appearing together on the same plant. Flowering on both old and new wood, it delivers a nearly continuous show from early summer well into fall, even after a harsh winter or an ill-timed pruning cut, as mature blooms mix with tightly bunched new buds throughout the season. Forms a semi-compact, mounding shrub with dark, glossy green foliage that turns rich burgundy in fall. An excellent choice for borders, containers, foundation plantings, mass plantings, or as a specimen, and makes a wonderful cut or dried flower. Performs best with 4–6 hours of sun and consistently moist, well-drained soil, benefiting from afternoon shade in warmer parts of its range.
