Descriptive Features: The first truly dwarf Russian sage introduced, bred by Peter Catt in the UK from a self-pollinated 'Blue Spire.' Forms a compact, bushy mound of fine-textured, aromatic gray-green foliage topped by unusually large lavender-blue flower spikes — the largest blooms of any Russian sage to date — from midsummer through fall. Its short, sturdy stature makes it ideal for small gardens, rock gardens, containers, and the front of borders where taller Russian sages would overwhelm the space. Deer- and rabbit-resistant, drought-tolerant, and fragrant; performs best in full sun with well-drained soil.
