Descriptive Features: An improved selection of the classic lady's mantle, offering larger, more prolific flowers and an overall bigger plant than the straight species. Forms a lush mound of soft, fuzzy, scallop-edged, pleated bluish-green leaves that are grown as much for texture as for bloom — the fine hairs on the foliage repel water, causing raindrops or dew to bead into shimmering silver droplets, one of the plant's signature charms. In late spring into early summer, airy, frothy clusters of tiny chartreuse-yellow flowers rise above the foliage on slender stems, adding a soft haze of color that pairs beautifully with roses and other cottage-garden companions. Deadheading spent blooms encourages a possible second flush in fall and helps prevent unwanted self-seeding. Tolerant of clay soil and coastal conditions, drought-tolerant once established, and deer-resistant. Performs best in light to full shade with moist, humus-rich soil, though it also handles full sun with adequate moisture. An excellent choice for groundcover, edging, borders, or shade gardens.
