Descriptive Features: A distinctive, taller-growing catmint from the subsessilis species, notable for its glossy, dark green foliage — unlike the gray-green leaves of most catmints — and one of the smallest cultivars within this larger-growing group. Large clusters of pale lavender-pink flowers, emerging from distinctive rose-colored buds, densely cover the plant from early to midsummer. Unlike many nepetas, it prefers consistently moist, cool soils and lacks the drought tolerance typical of the genus. Deer-resistant and attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds; well suited to rain gardens, borders, and moist perennial plantings in full sun to part shade.
