Latin Name: Myosotis sylvatica 'Victoria Blue'

Common Name: Victoria Blue Forget-Me-Not

Zones: 3–8

Height & Spread: 6–8 inches tall, spreading 6–12 inches wide

Descriptive Features: A slightly bushier, more compact selection of woodland forget-me-not, forming a tidy, low mound of hairy, gray-green foliage. From April into May, with sporadic bloom continuing into midsummer, the plant is smothered in clusters of small, five-lobed, deep sky-blue flowers with a cheerful yellow eye — a brighter, more saturated blue than many other forget-me-not selections. Excellent for massing beneath spring-blooming bulbs like tulips and daffodils, where the true-blue flowers create striking color contrast. Typically grown as a biennial or short-lived perennial, but self-seeds readily to persist and naturalize in the garden for years once established. Attracts butterflies and other early-season pollinators. Deer- and rabbit-resistant, low-maintenance, and requires no deadheading. Thrives in average to moist, well-drained soil and adapts to full sun through full shade. An excellent choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, underplanting shrubs, edging, containers, or naturalized cottage-style plantings.
