Latin Name: Sedum 'Winterberry Delight'
Common Name: Winterberry Delight Stonecrop
Zones: 3–9
Height & Spread: 18–24 inches tall, spreading 26–30 inches wide
Descriptive Features: A stunning, newer stonecrop featuring dark wine-purple foliage that provides dramatic, season-long contrast against greener garden companions. Rose-colored flower buds open in late summer to reveal white blooms with salmon-pink centers, which deepen to rose-red as they mature, creating a dynamic, ever-shifting overall light-pink display. Forms a substantial, upright clump of thick foliage that can stand in for a small shrub in the landscape, supported by sturdy stems that hold the massive flower heads without flopping. Dried flower heads persist through winter, offering structure, seasonal interest, and food for birds if left standing. Extremely drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and largely pest- and disease-resistant. A valuable late-season nectar source for pollinators and butterflies. An excellent choice for sunny borders, mass plantings, or as a bold focal point in full sun.
