Latin Name: Sedum takesimense Atlantis® 'Nonsitnal'
Common Name: Atlantis Stonecrop
Zones: 4–9
Height & Spread: 4–6 inches tall, spreading 10–12 inches wide
Descriptive Features: A strikingly variegated groundcover stonecrop discovered as a sport growing on the island of Ulleungdo off the coast of Korea. Forms tidy, low-growing rosettes of small, serrated, succulent dark green leaves edged in wide, creamy-yellow margins that create eye-catching contrast from a distance. The margins take on a soft pink blush as temperatures cool in late fall, adding an extra layer of seasonal interest. Showy sprays of bright yellow, star-shaped flowers appear atop short stems in mid to late summer, drawing butterflies and bees. Extremely drought-tolerant and cold-hardy, forming a dense, slowly spreading mat well suited to rock gardens, dry landscapes, or combination containers with other succulents. Low-maintenance and rabbit-resistant; performs best in full sun in cooler climates, benefiting from afternoon shade in hotter regions.
