Descriptive Features: A compact, well-branched selection bred with excellent branching and shorter flower stems, making it especially well suited to containers and smaller gardens where taller gaura cultivars would be overwhelming. Forms an upright, tidy clump of dark, burgundy-tinged foliage. From late spring through fall, clouds of star-shaped, deep pink flowers dance on wiry stems above the foliage, creating an airy, graceful display and offering one of the longest bloom seasons of any perennial when spent blooms are sheared. A deep taproot makes it exceptionally drought- and heat-tolerant once established, and it's also notably tolerant of humidity, making it a strong performer in southern gardens. Thrives in full sun with well-drained soil, adaptable to a range of soil fertility from poor to fertile. Deer-resistant, low-maintenance, and virtually pest- and disease-free. Cutting back after the first bloom flush helps maintain a smaller size and encourages continued rebloom. An excellent choice for containers, sunny borders, rock gardens, or meadow-style plantings in full sun.
