Descriptive Features: A large, sturdy hosta forming a dense, rounded mound of thick, deeply cupped and heavily corrugated blue-green leaves. The seersucker-like texture and powdery blue coloring give the foliage a rugged, dramatic appearance that holds well into summer thanks to its heavy waxy bloom. In early summer, near-white flowers rise on scapes above the foliage, though the bold foliage remains the star feature. Notably resistant to slug damage compared to thinner-leaved varieties, thanks to its substantial leaf thickness. Makes an excellent specimen plant, background border piece, or anchor in shade and woodland gardens. Prefers part to full shade with moist, well-drained soil for best color and vigor.
