Descriptive Features: A vigorous, heat-loving hybrid bred by Rob van der Voort in Holland, valued for exceptional performance in trial gardens even under intense heat and humidity. Forms a compact, well-branched, upright clump of intensely aromatic, licorice-scented, mint-like green foliage that stays neat and doesn't flop, even in the height of summer. From early to midsummer through fall, countless dense, wand-like spikes of vivid violet-purple flowers rise above the foliage in a nonstop, season-long show, offering one of the longest bloom periods of any Agastache cultivar. Highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, while its strongly aromatic oils make it naturally resistant to deer and rabbits. Requires exceptionally well-draining soil — thrives in poor, sandy, or rocky conditions but is highly susceptible to crown and root rot in heavy, wet clay. Drought-tolerant once established and low-maintenance. An excellent choice for borders, perennial beds, pollinator gardens, or mixed containers in full sun.
