Descriptive Features: One of the giants of the hosta world, forming a massive, dome-shaped mound of thick, heavily corrugated, blue-green heart-shaped leaves. The foliage is bluest in early spring, gradually shifting toward green as summer progresses. In early summer, near-white, bell-shaped flowers rise above the foliage on tall bluish-green scapes. Named for its impressive scale, this cultivar makes a dramatic focal point, background plant, or specimen in shade gardens and woodland settings. Thrives in part to full shade with fertile, consistently moist, well-drained soil; slow to reach full size but long-lived and low-maintenance once established.
