Descriptive Features: A taller, newer clumping ornamental onion introduced in 2023, featuring wide, glaucous blue-green foliage with a slight twist that stays attractive well into fall. Soft lavender flower clusters, larger and paler than those of the popular 'Millenium,' bloom on strong stems from midsummer through early fall, forming effervescent, bubble-like globes packed with numerous small flowers. Unlike bulb-type alliums such as 'Globemaster,' this clumping type flowers in summer rather than spring and produces smaller, more abundant clusters over a longer season. Rich in nectar and a favorite of bees and butterflies, while deer and rabbits avoid its onion-scented leaves. An excellent vertical accent for borders, rock gardens, meadow plantings, or cut flower use in full sun to part shade.
