Descriptive Features: A striking white-flowered form of swamp milkweed, producing domed clusters of pure white, lightly fragrant, star-shaped blooms atop sturdy, upright stems from mid to late summer. Deep green, willow-like foliage stays neat and clump-forming rather than spreading aggressively. The cool white blooms brighten moist borders and pair beautifully with pink or purple companions, while still serving as an essential Monarch nectar source and larval host. Tolerant of both wet and average garden soils, and left alone by deer and rabbits. Attractive seed pods follow the flowers, releasing silky-haired seeds in fall.
