Descriptive Features: A vigorous, semi-evergreen, mat-forming perennial closely related to 'Biokovo,' but distinguished by its richer, deep magenta-pink to carmine-red flowers that open from dark red buds. Blooms heavily from late spring into midsummer atop a dense carpet of aromatic, deeply lobed green leaves that turn red-orange in fall. Spreads gently by underground stems to form a respectable, weed-suppressing carpet. Deer- and rabbit-resistant, and attractive to butterflies. A dependable, long-flowering "cornerstone" performer well suited to edging, rock gardens, borders, and slopes in full sun to part shade.
