Descriptive Features: A groundbreaking introduction from breeder Chris Hansen — the first cultivar in the SunSparkler® series — selected from thousands of seedlings for its exceptional performance. Forms attractive, compact mounds of smoky blue-gray, oval, flattened succulent foliage that provides colorful ground cover throughout the season. In late summer into fall, the plant produces a truly dazzling display of giant raspberry-pink flower clusters, ranging 6–9 inches across, blooming for over seven weeks — earlier than most fall-blooming sedum cultivars. The huge, long-lasting blooms also make a lovely accent in cut flower arrangements. Selected to be less susceptible to foliar disease, extremely drought-tolerant once established, and rabbit- and deer-resistant. A strong draw for bees and butterflies. An excellent choice for slopes, groundcover, rock gardens, borders, or containers in full sun.
