Pinus Strobus 8-9‘

Pinus strobus, commonly called Eastern white pine, is a needled evergreen tree native to the northeastern United States. Occurring in forests, woodlands, and rocky ridges. Long, silvery, bluish-green needles (5") are soft to the touch. Produces cylindrical, brown cones (4-8" long). 

Easily grown in acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun. Prefers cool, humid climates and fertile soils. Intolerant of compacted soils, clay and alkaline conditions, and air pollutants. Suitable for foundation plantings, shrub border foreground, rock gardens, privacy screens, windbreaks, and as specimen plants.
